Dear family and friends!
How are y'all doing?!
I am doing great! Just loving being me :)
I am progressing in Spanish, slowly but surely, I use learning Spanish
as an excuses to start conversations with people on Facebook, then in
talk about the gospel! Haha who knows maybe a Skype lesson will come
out of this!
Well time to talk about the week! Btw it is week 6 already of transfer
5!!!!!!! Time is going by super quick! This is General Conference
week! Yayyyyy! So when we did any kind of proselyting it was an invite
to hear the prophets voice! Loads of mixed reactions, mainly good
though, flushing is still awesome tho, I believe I have one more
transfer here than I will be gone, but then again, both Elder Kaufman
and I have the chance to leave this one, this is probably one of the
best zones in the mission, cause we all meet in the same ward
building.
Well that is all that I can think of, I love y'all so much and miss y'all!
Your missionary!

Hey!
How are you all? I am well! A little wet, and right now, it's
snowing? Haha but thank goodness it isn't sticking. Well now is time
to tell you about my week, a crazy event happened Saturday! We
participated in the ground breaking of the new church!!! This one is
supper dangerous, and so we will be able to hold more people, and it
will have a gym! I think I will be here in New York, to see it
completed. Yesterday was fun, church was awesome, then after the
members broke out the cake, coke, and ice tea wait what?! Yeah they
didn't know that THAT kind of ice tea is against the word of wisdom
haha, and then found out that one of our investigators went missing,
so we tried looking, but he was nowhere to be found, so we go back to
the church and then go to our dinner appointment at the Carpentero
family (my favorite family here I think, or at lease one of the top
families here) and I did well a and impressed them with how much
Spanish I have learned haha so I am improving!!. Then we dropped back
our apartment, and got a txt that our investigator was back home (the
reason why we were worried is cause he has been super sick recently,
he has really bad diabetes, and has blackouts) so that was a relief,
so we then received a call for a less active sister that has been
super sick that needed a blessing, so we went there, and on the way I
seen someone that I felt I needed to talk to, she had made eye contact
with me, so I eventually talked to her found out she had already met
the zone leaders, and she is now wanting to investigate the church!
Yay! So then we give a blessing and on the way home we hear thunder!
And see a lightning flash, two times, but at was it, it was a sound I
missed hearing, and so it sparked up a conversation with the bus
driver, which was wayyyyyy cooool, and it was a seed planter for sure
:) and so that was my week, all summed up into two days, haha
So tell me about y'alls week, any sweet news, how's the bird? How is
the family??? Jasmine straitening up? Work for everyone is great?
Well I can't think of anything y'all might be interested in so I will
end the note here!
I love you all! Y'all are the best!

Street singing
D&C 25:12
12 For my soul delighteth in the song of the heart; yea, the song of the righteous is a prayer unto me, and it shall be answered with a blessing upon their heads.
I love the special spirit that comes from singing hymns. The outside world is very loud with car horns, many people talking and airplanes landing overhead, but we still sang our hearts out to spread happiness and love. I love to sing! — with Elder Jake Kaufman, Elder Daniel Buffington, Elder Collin Greenwood, Hermana Julie Dean, Sister-Katie Glaittli, Elder Kellon Izatt, Elder Kevin Heywood, Elder Adam Cardoza, Elder Kyle Woodward,Elder Isaak Chevalier and Elder Leo Zhang.

Hey! It's been one of those weeks that seems like it lasts forever,
but goes by super quick! It's going great here! Investigators are
great, nothing too funny to say just that I love them, it's been a
beautiful week with ggrreeaattt weather! Sounds like a fun filled
week, and yeah I agree, I think you raised me right, and let the
Taylor's know I say hi and I miss and love them!! They are the best!
So the mission is awesome! I don't want to leave my area, I believe I
will have one more transfer here but that is it, and then I will
return at the end of my mission, I defiantly don't want to leave the
city area, I hope I never go car area, there is somthing about walking
that is nice, and I really like it, but that's it I think? Had a crazy
mission story happen this week, we were doing a bus run, where we get
on the bus and talk to Random people, but this time he started the
gospel topic O.o, so I talked to him about the gospel and he told me
that my companion and I were to go wit him to talk to him and his wife
at his house! Wayyyyyyy cooool! But when we got there and taught him
and he kept wanting to rebuke us for being Mormon, and saying that for
believing that there is a prophet on the earth that we would be going
to hell, he told us that in the scriptures it said that Jesus would be
the final prophet, but he never showed us where it said that, we
showed him scripture after scripture of why we need prophets, and
asked him if him and his wife if they would read the Book of Mormon,
and he said no, but she wanted to but didn't want to say anything, he
got frustrated that he couldn't stop that fact that we knew what we
were talking about, then he prayed for me cause my ADD came up in the
conversation, he prayed that my ADD would leave, and that my neck and
back would feel better, and also my shoulder would be better, but it
wasn't feeling bad to begin with, wasn't what I expected from that
hahahaha so cool :) planted a seed!
And I hope grandma is feeling better! I keep them in my thoughts and prayers!
Awe I was hopping Ben jumped on the bandwagon and they would be
expecting, my old companion is still in the same area as me and still
looks like him O.o
I wonder where Nathan
is going haha I say state side.
So what is happening with Russia and Ukraine? And also about the Asian
plane that disappeared?
Going to get snow this week again so wooooooooo!!
But that is all as well,
I love you mom!
It's great to hear from you this week!
Hope to hear from you too!!

Hello again my dear family!
I hope all of you has had a epic week! It's time to catch y'all up
on events that has happened recently,
-I have been out for 6months, and it seems like forever, but it
also seems like yesterday that I left, I have defiantly grown, just
not in the journal section, I write occasionally I might fill my
journal by the end of my mission at this rate :p haha but oh well I
can always do better,
-I have been finding the answers to my prayers, and as a background
story to this, we were told that 4/5 baptisms are from former
investigators, and so we have been trying hard to find them, and catch
them when they are home, and so this past week we were looking up some
formers, when it is supper cold and windy out, (typical NY day here in
the winter, and the summer is just the opposite) and we were gonna
knock one las door before returning home from knocking on doors with
no answers, and the last door was opened the door! We were so
thrilled, and to top the cake, they let us in and we had a long
conversation of this older gentle mans life, he came to america with
nothing at all, and now he has reaped his reward and has been thanking
god every day for everything! And now he wants to learn more! He has a
sister who joined the church with her husband down in Peru and he has
been once and the only thing holding him back (because he loved his
first visit) is that he feels guilty that he likes another religion
after being blessed go much while attending the Catholic Church, this
is a true blessing from god, we caught him at the perfect moment! (And
as a added bonus he wants to learn how to play guitar :) that's where
I got a friendship point haha)
-my companion and I are teaching (well the spirit teaches but you
understand what I mean) amazing people almost twice a week, and we see
how the trust they have in us is helping out the work, with one,
Guillermo since we started teaching him, his lllooonnnggggtime less
active mother is coming back to church! Guillermo is going to be
baptized on the 30th of this month. Ignacio is soooo cool, he is a
gentleman in his 50s 60s and is sooooo funny, in our last appointment
right before Hermana Luz joined us to begin the lesson, he lays on the
floor, and then tells my companion, ayuda me hermano, help me brother,
then continues to ask him to step on his back! Hahahaha then after, he
just layed there, and slept, for about 10 minuets, hahahaha but the
rest of his family lives in Texas where they are now being taught!
Which by what the elders there are saying, is a HUGE deal in the
mission, and is being talked about a lot! And that is what is keeping
him from baptism, he wants to fly his family to NY to see his baptism,
to be an example :) but my companion and I are for sure that his
family will be baptized before him, maybe we will skype his both ways!
-and the rest of the people we have taught are just awesome
and full of interesting stories!
-transfer callllllllsssss! I am staying, in fact the ENTIRE zone is
staying, besides one person, and do you want to know who it is? It is
Hermana Palu, so sad, wish everyone could stay, we surpassed the goal
for baptisms for the first time in the history of the mission that
anyone knows of! And it just keeps getting more and more baptisms,
mainly in the Chinese program, but yeah my companion and I are staying
together!!!!! Yaaayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy yyy for the first time I
get a companion for more than one transfer!!!! Celebration time!
-I finished the book Jesus the Christ, wonderful! I love it sooooo much!
Well, I can't think of anything else big, I know my Redeemer lives! I
know that Heavenly Father hears and answers our prayers, I love y'all
and I pray for y'all often,
I miss all of you,
Especially you two mom and dad! Hope you enjoy the email!
Keep Classy ;)

Dearest family and friends,
Hello again from the beautiful New York South Mission, mainly
the area of Flushing Queens, I hope and pray that all of you are doing
quite splendid and every day gettin' better! I apologize for the lack
of letters and emails, I normally can't think of anything to write,
and I apologize for the short letter today, who knows it might be a
long one.
First order of business is to say Happy Chinese New Year!! My
entire zone participated in the parade (I learned it is parada in
Spanish :) and also hielo is ice :D which there is a lot of here) and
I was the head of the Chinese lion, so much fun, and now I understand
why Chinese people have massive shoulders! But it was soo much fun,
and I got to pass out these red envelops with LDS flyers in them, and
a piece of candy :) they go NUTZ for them, so we feel like
celebrity's, :)
Second, Happy Valentine's Day in advance, I want to give a huge
shout out to my "girl-waiting-for-me-at-home" she has done sooooo much
for me and I love her soo much! HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY MOMMMMM!!! Haha
I love each and ever one of you! And also I want to thank you dad, for
literally everything you have done to me, especially those thing I
didn't enjoy to do at the time, I know how to fix things that are
broken, and how to do missionary work, and I have you to thank for it,
I love you! Thank you Amber for keeping Mom busy with epic ideas and
for the awesome Road trip, I love and miss y'all, thank you Jeff for
always being there I love and miss your family! Amy! Thanks for
having me over for a summer! It was a blast, and I love you and your
family so much! Give Annie a scratch for me! And keep the Beautiful
cakes coming! I love looking at them! Matt! You are such a amazing
example to me, you have taught me so much about being a father, and
always being there for a family, (bet you had a slight thought that I
would mention the sniffing ;) ) I love y'all so much! Scott, my
bestest best buddy in the whole wide world, I love you so much, and
your family, you my dear friend, have a Beautiful Family, and thank
you for all you have done for me, for going into the Army, for being
my big brother, for protecting me, Sam, I love you and your family so
much, who else could I easily listen to country music with while
eating sunflower seeds, haha you have shown me that no matter what you
can make it through any trial, when you have a amazing family like you
do, and also when you put The Lord in your life, and also when you
know how to shoot ;) Jonathan! Or should I say Jonny English? Haha I
love you so much! For being the pioneer to serve The Lord like I am
now, just south of me, that helped hundreds, no millions of not just
lives but ETERNITIES! I thank you for that, I love everything you and
your family has done for me! Benjamin! My last companion, Elder
Heywood reminded me of you so much, blonde hair blue eyes, and the
Butt chin! Yours is much more grand tho, haha thank you for serving a
mission, you helped our family become untied! And Jaz, I love you too,
thanks for the support you have shown, and you better not have a
boyfriend and when you do when your 18 or so, I have to approve, and
so does the rest of your brothers. :)
I have been doing a lot of studying on the life and gospel of
our Savior and Redeemer, Jesus Christ, and something I have been
learning slowly, is the unconditional love that He has for every
person, every one of us. To think that he bled, suffered, and died
for me, I can't comprehend the infinite-ness of it, and I doubt I will
ever truly know, this Valentin's Day, I want to try harder to love my
neighbor, like myself, which is super hard to think about, but it is
possible to do when you are a missionary here in NY, you couldn't
really do it if you weren't a missionary here. I love each and every
one of you, I pray for you all, I see by notifications from Mom that
my prayers are being answered and that you all are being blessed!
Which makes me soooooooooooooo happy!
Story Time! Well, more like cool things,
-okay number one, there is something my companion and I are doing,
that is gonna be big, and I will involve Facebook, but that is all I
can say for the moment on that one,
-number two, I am finally seeing the "reapings of my hard work" on
Facebook, I have a good chance of teaching a high school friend about
the church on Skype this week! So wayyyyy cool
-number three, I love the pictures and testimonies! I hope to use them all!
-number four, and weird fact of the day, you automatically feel so
much better, the farther you are away from Flushing, hahaha soooooo
many Chinos! And the smell is ummm interesting to say the least, but
there are some cool shops here, but we are going to green point where
there is supposedly more cool shops, so yay!!
-number five, I never knew how fun it is learning another language, I
LOVE Spanish people, food, culture, and the Language, it is incredible
how awesome these good people are! But some have sass, and they all
are supper touchy, and will get offended easily, so we all have to be
nice... Bust still amazing people,
-number six, so we are teaching another young man, his name is
Guillermo (William in English) and he is 14, and is progressing well,
I taught him once before on a exchange, so when he found out I would
be teaching him now he was thrilled saying Elder Parkour is here now
haha xD
I love flushing so much, I never want to leave here, I hope I can stay
for a while, missionaries will be staying in there area for as little
As six months, so I have at lease another transfer or two, and I hope
I don't get transferred to Long Island, cause I don't want a car, I
love the city too much, and the island is too lazy driving everywhere
hahahaha!
Well that is all for now, I am deeply surprised at the length of this,
I hope y'all have a amazing valentines day!
I love you all!
Your "Brother in the Field"

As six months, so I have at lease another transfer or two, and I hope
I don't get transferred to Long Island, cause I don't want a car, I
love the city too much, and the island is too lazy driving everywhere
hahahaha!
Well that is all for now, I am deeply surprised at the length of this,
I hope y'all have a amazing valentines day!
I love you all!
